What do a turkey farmer, a copper foundry and C. M. Walsh Pipe Organbuilders have in common? If you guessed that each of them is featured in Season 3 of Discovery Channel’s Dirty Jobs series, you’re right, and maybe even a bit psychic.
     Mike Rowe, Dave Barsky and their elite Discovery Channel production crew spent a long day with our team this past February, exploring the interesting, challenging and sometimes downright dangerous work undertaken by those who curate pipe instruments.

We Did It for the Craic

     
“Craic”, pronounced “Crack” is an Irish word for fun. Anyone who is familiar with Dublin or even an Irish pub will know the term “craic agus ceol” meaning “music and fun”.
     A couple of months ago I received a phone call from a studio in L.A., asking if they could feature us on their show, “Dirty Jobs” with Mike Rowe. At first it did not seem like much of a fit with the work we are trying to do, but the producer assured me that the goal was not getting dirty, it was to show off the interesting work carried out by normal people.
